22RE is a Los Angeles-based multidisciplinary practice for architecture and design. The studio approaches the design process with a deliberate exploration of morphology and materiality, rooted in global historical influences. With respect for craft and traditionalism, 22RE creates immersive sensory experiences and modern environments that endure. We're hiring a Senior Architectural Designer to help carry projects across all design phases.

About the Role:

You'll be developing project concept studies, building out schematic and design development packages, and producing code-compliant construction drawings that hold up to scrutiny. A meaningful part of the role is custom furniture design — sketching, modeling, and detailing bespoke pieces that carry a project's material and spatial language through to the smallest object in a room — alongside developing and coordinating millwork, FF&E, and lighting layouts to a high level of refinement. Day to day, you'll be modeling in 3D, drafting, rendering, and generating presentations that articulate design information to clients. You'll coordinate with our internal team and outside consultants, help manage documentation for construction, and get out to job sites for visits, surveys, and construction administration. This role also carries real project management responsibility, tracking timelines, coordinating deliverables across disciplines, and keeping projects moving from design intent to built reality.

Qualifications:

-4-8+ years of professional architectural design experience, preferably including high-end residential or design-focused projects.

-Proficiency in AutoCAD and Rhino is required; experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Vray is preferred.

-Strong 3D modeling, drafting, and rendering skills.

-Working knowledge of building codes and architectural standards.

-Experience designing and detailing custom furniture, familiarity in millwork, FF&E, and lighting coordination.

-Comfortable managing project timelines and coordinating across teams and consultants.
-Interest in working across both architecture and interior-focused projects.

-Experience crafting and developing high-level organized drawing sets for design development & construction documentation phases

-Proactive approach and ability to meet project timelines and client expectations.

How to Apply:

Please email a cover letter, CV, and portfolio (PDF or link) to info@22reoffice.com.

Portfolios should demonstrate built and detailed work — drawing sets, plans and elevations, custom furniture and interior details, renderings, and finished projects.

Please title your email: Architectural Designer 2026 — (Your Name)

Please note: All applicants must have current authorization to work in the U.S.

About the Role:

You'll shape interiors from early concept through installation — developing spatial layouts, material palettes, and design narratives that carry a project's identity through to every finish and fixture. A meaningful part of the role is custom furniture design — sketching, modeling, and detailing bespoke pieces, informed by a strong grounding in 20th-century furniture history and form — alongside developing and coordinating millwork, FF&E, and lighting layouts to a high level of refinement. Day to day, you'll be modeling in 3D, drafting, rendering, and building presentation materials strong enough to carry a room on their own. You'll manage the materials and procurement process end to end — sourcing, specifying, and tracking finishes, furnishings, and custom pieces — while coordinating with our internal team, vendors, and outside consultants. This role also carries real project management responsibility — tracking timelines, coordinating deliverables across disciplines, and keeping projects moving from design intent to built reality.

Qualifications:

-Proficiency in AutoCAD and Rhino is required; experience with Adobe InDesign for presentation materials.

-3+ years of professional experience, preferably including high-end residential or design-focused projects

-Strong 3D modeling, drafting, and rendering skills.

-Deep knowledge of 20th-century furniture and design history.

-Strong presentation skills, able to communicate a design narrative clearly and confidently.

-Knowledge of materials and the procurement process, from sourcing through delivery, with familiarity in millwork, FF&E, and lighting coordination.

-Comfort managing project timelines and coordinating across teams and consultants.
